Entries for the 2017 Pier One NSW Wine Awards are now open.
The aim of the Awards is to identify the best NSW wines in the marketplace available to consumers. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded as well as category trophies. The best of these is crowned the Pier One NSW Wine of the Year. There is a special award for the best NSW organic wine. Medals are also awarded for NSW wines not currently in the market, however these are not eligible for trophies. All wines achieving a Gold or Silver medal at the Awards will be eligible to enter the Premium and Single Vineyard classes in the National Wine Show, which is judged in November.
Dave Brookes will lead the judging which will be conducted in Mudgee from 19-21 September. This is the fourth regional judging of the Awards following Griffith in 2014, Orange in 2015 and the Hunter Valley last year.
The NSW Wine Awards are run by the NSW industry for the benefit of industry. We look forward to your support.
Tom Ward, President.
